The Santa Fe Independent School District unveiled their new transportation department building in March 2010. This $5 million project provides office space for their staff as well as a maintenance shop. From this location 2000 local students are served, 41 school bus schedules are coordinated, and 25 auxiliary vehicles are managed. The facility includes new lubrication systems, complete with hose reel racks, oil storage tanks and a compressed air system, and is windstorm certified for winds up to 120mph.
The Eagle Lake Intermediate School is outfitted to serve grades four through six. Currently 70 students receive their education at the new facility.
A critical component of every community, Fort Bend County recently enhanced their Emergency Medical Services' response readiness with a new high-tech facility. The new building can accommodate the needs of billing, training, inventory control, administration, and is capable of withstanding man-made or natural threats. Today, ten Mobile Intensive Care Unit Ambulances and three First Responder Squad Units, stocked with the latest advancements in pre-hospital equipment and staffed with highly skilled paramedic personnel, stand ready to respond during any hour of the day or night, all year long.
Bunker Hill Elementary School in Houston, Texas received upgraded science labs to enable students to meet the recently introduced 4x4 state educational requirements.
